The Seahorse

The Seahorse is a small pub just outside the town centre. They offer a pool table and regular music.
No selection of ales, but the usual lagers, beers and Guinness as well as the spirits and wine at reasonable prices. No meals are available.
It is a narrow pub that gets busy in the weekend nights, most of the customers are locals but the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, there is a beer garden on the side of the pub but it only one or two tables and is more or less a small patio connected to the side entrance and overlooking the main road.
The car-park is at the back of the pub and has enough room for a pub full and there is no problem parking in the area anyway. The Seahorse is on the main road running from the village of Nottage into Porthcawl town and is useful to stop and refresh yourself on the way. It is a few yards from the main bus stop.

My Opinion

Their range of beers do not suit my particular tastes, also I find the layout slightly awkward to navigate and the seating could be better.
It also lacks the atmosphere that my sort of pub seems to have. Pleasant enough and can get interesting in the evenings.
